Dogs in Moab

Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in National Parks but while outside of the park in Moab, dogs can have fun too! Most all trails in the Moab area allow dogs to tag along and enjoy being by your side. During the summer months, our surfaces get extremely hot and can damage your pet’s paws so protect their feet during this time. No matter what time of the year you are hiking with your dog, our air gets extremely dry so bring plenty of water for both you and your dog.  Don’t forget to keep our trails, creeks, and gorgeous red rock pristine by being a good owner and picking up after your dog!

Did you know Moab has its own off-leash dog park? The park features two enclosed areas -an area for small dogs and an area for larger dogs. It is open during daylight hours and is located at 100 E 300 S. Please be a responsible owner and pick up after your pet and obey the posted rules and regulations. The use of this park is free.
